WMOA recently sat down with Kaleigh and Debbie from the O’Neill Center. They chatted about May being “Older American’s Month” and this year’s theme of: Powered by Connection. The theme recognizes the profound impact that meaningful relationships and social connections have on our health and well-being.
The O’Neill Center provides life-enrichment activities that correspond so well with this theme:
Social connections with social and holiday parties
Spiritual connections with yoga, meditation, and bible study
Occupational connections with volunteer opportunities
Physical connections through dance, volleyball, zumba, and yoga
Intellectual classes: A Matter of Balance for falls prevention, dementia and Alzheimer’s sessions, Dinner with the Doctor, medication information
Environmental connections and Emotional support groups are also offered.
They also shared information about the Care Consultation program.
